  Thursday Practice Results Sakhir, Bahrain (February 23, 2024) 
Ferrari's Carlos Sainz ran the quickest time on Thursday (1:29.921) on C4 tires followed by Red Bull's Sergio Perez (1:30.679) on the C3 compound. Mercedes driver, Lewis Hamilton was third quickest on Thursday (1:31.066). Hamilton and Perez ran both practice sessions. For Hamilton it was his first practice session in the Mercedes W15. Sergio's teammate, Max Verstappen, who ran a blistering pace on Wednesday, did not participate in Thursday's sessions. McLaren's Lando Norris, who was second quickest on Wednesday, was fourth quickest on Thursday. Daniel Ricciardo had another impressive outing in the rebranded RB team's new car, the VCARB01, ending up fifth quickest on the time sheet (1:31.361). Like Sainz, Ricciardo ran on the C4's. Perez and Hamilton set their times on the C3's. The incident of the day came in the morning session which was brought to an early close after Ferrari's Charles Leclerc ran over a drain cover and left debris on the track. Lewis Hamilton subsequently ran over the debris which quickly brought out the red flag for the Thursday morning session. Leclerc finished the day with the sixth quickest time, a 1:31.750.
